Stay, play, and relax at our ocean front vacation rental. Situated on the rugged west coast of Southern Vancouver Island, our oceanfront retreat is perched above the ocean, right on the water’s edge.
Port Renfrew offers first class fishing, beaches, surfing, hiking and moutain biking. As well as endless scenic beauty, spectacular marine and wildlife viewing, roaring surf and nearby lakes and rivers. Guests can experience access to uniquely rich tide pools and shoreline trails with fantastic geological features for the beach adventurer. Hike through majestic old-growth forests. Book a fishing charter. Surf or kitesurf the waves. Or simply cook up a good meal on the bbq with a beverage on the deck as you enjoy a spectacular ocean view. Maybe catch a stunning sunset while you cozy up to an outdoor gas fire!
Take a quick stroll to Gateway Marina and maybe catch a glimpse of the salmon, halibut and crab caught fresh that day. You can relax while you wait for the fishing charters to arrive at Bridgemen's Bistro Pub. Up for a longer walk or a quick drive. Port Renfrew Pub will be sure to please with outstanding pub fare cuisine and a good selection of wine, beer and spirits. There is also the Coastal Kitchen (open seasonally) and Tomi's Cafe (the best breakfast sandwhich going) within walking distance.
For any shoppers in the group, there are a few spots located in town waiting for you to take home a unique piece of clothing, jewelry, art & more. Gateway Marina is a full-service marina with daily fishing charters. Trailhead Fish Processing and Seafood Market vacuum packs and flash freezes sport caught fish. Their Seafood Market offers salmon, halibut, tuna and more. The San Jaun Market is the local "everything store" with select groceries, liquor, ice, bait, coffee & more. As well there is a new Gas Station with propane facility.

*Due to intermittent cell coverage, refer to your map or GPS prior to leaving for Port Renfrew.
Arriving from Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal
Drive off the ferry and take highway 17A into Victoria, then to Sooke.
Exit #7 McKenzie Ave and then take Trans Canada Highway.1/Nanaimo.
Follow signs to Sooke then Port Renfrew.
There is no cell service between Sooke & Port Renfrew (about 1 hour) so GPS won’t work.
Once you arrive in Port Renfrew, you’re on Parkinson Road…you’ll see Tomi’s cafe on the right…take the next right onto Baird Road.
Turn left immediately into West Coast Cottages and continue up the hill to the top, keep right, into the new development.
The drive from the ferry is just over 2 hours.
